The HOJI CC is the queen of Eric Hjorleifson's series of skis. Working alongside Eric, the women on our team tested and refined this ski to be the ultimate ‘do it all’ powder tool for touring in the backcountry, charging side-country lines, and crushing laps from the chairlift. Equipped with our Contour Core, we shift the thickest and stiffest part of the core rearward to better match a women’s path of power, from their hips. Can a ski be life changing? If yes, than this is the one. The Hoji W is intuitive, stable, forgiving and solid in any condition. The first day that I skied them, I was going from soft, to slush, to hard-pack with ease. As to the 30 m turning radius, I could turn it just as fast and easily as my 13 m radius ski; the difference was that I could really enjoy the stability in the wide arching turns down the steep, as well. They have given me a whole new level of confidence and inspiration. Thank you Hoji!
WEAPON OF CHOICE
This is my first fully rockered ski, and I absolutely love it! In powder this ski is a ton of fun and it likes to get rowdy. I'm impressed with the hard-pack performance as well. This ski can rip groomers and hold a solid edge. It also accelerates out of the turn, making for a fun (and fast!) ride. The Hoji W has become my weapon of choice in my daily work as a heli-ski guide.

ReflectTech™ refers to our secret formula in which our rocker shape works in perfect unison with the shape of our sidecut through a blend of multiple size raddi. This creates one smooth curve along its length and provides you the best performance across all snow conditions.
When the ski is laid flat, you’ll rise out of the powder, float and maneuver with far more ease. However, when this same ski is leaned over on edge, the sidecut geometry works in conjunction with the pre-bent rocker shape to carve turns on firm snow like a cambered ski. ReflectTech™ has enabled us to achieve unprecedented performance on a far larger variety of terrain.
Eliminating deflection, delamination and fractures in the ski tip. These three issues have long plagued the durability of freeride skis due to the abrupt change in snow conditions and tip slap on impact from catching air. The bordering material in a ski tip that joins the core end is most commonly comprised of hard, non-elastic polymers. We began experimentation in our White Room using different grades of Neoprene to withstand the shearing impacts and provide absorption for change in conditions. The result is a dampened feel that calms the ski feel and increases the durability.
A hybrid of light, hardwoods to reduce the weight of our backcountry skis. Poplar runs along the edges to create a crisp edge feel and smooth longitudinal flex while the Paulownia runs down the center to reduce the weight and increase the torsional strength.
A complex insert which adjoins the core end and runs out to the tail edge perimeter. Full wrap metal edge skis often stood on their tail end have a tendency to delaminate, due the weak joint bearing the skis weight between metal, rubber and fiberglass. A tail block eliminates the sensitive joint between laminates and edge and allows for non-invasive customization for skin tail clips if so desired.
Semi Cap ABS Sidewall>
Similar to how you construct a sandwich, layers of premium raw material pile high into a 3D cavity that secures the shape outline with an ABS sidewall over edge. The semi cap design provides longevity and durability of the top sheet edge by stepping down from the square edge of the sidewall leaving a smooth 360 degree round-contoured edge perimeter. The exposed sidewall protects the core from moisture while also dampening vibrations.
Our premium ski base, also known in the industry as a “race base” because it integrates carbon to further strengthen its gliding properties. At 1.3mm this fast, freely gliding and tough carbon base is much more durable than other base material and matches perfectly with our 2mm edge material. The sintering process occurs prior to extrusion, where the the carbon and plastic enter into an extruder in pellet form, therefore individually contributing its own dense properties to the final product.
