The name says it all. The Devastator has become a highlight in the 4FRNT family because of its uncanny ability to destroy terrain on sight. Its award winning multi-radius rocker profile empowers you to surf powder effortlessly and pivot on a dime to navigate tight terrain. This modern freeride shape allows the sidecut geometry to work in unison with the pre-bent rocker shape, giving you the performance of camber on firmer snow. Combo this with ample pop, comfortable swing weight, and unwavering stability and you have a freeride weapon that never sacrifices performance, no matter the conditions or terrain.

Construction Features

1 Aspen Maple Core

Aspen Maple Core

Made from the highest quality Aspen and Maple Canada has to offer, these cores are loaded with unwavering energy and pop. These pure hardwood cores don’t just guarantee a smooth damp ride, but also provide long lasting durability and incredible binding retention.

2 Carbon Fiber

Carbon Fiber

When stability and energy are a must and weight is a factor, we add pre stretched carbon fiber stringers to the core. Far superior to the flex and pop of traditional fiberglass, carbon fiber gives you the liveliness you want at a weight that keeps your skis feeling light on your feet. These

3 Neotip

Neotip

After experimenting for years in the Whiteroom, we discovered that the addition of a Neoprene insert in the tip of the ski drastically reduced chatter, increased overall damping, and helped eliminate frustrating tip delamination.

4 UHMW Sidewalls

UHMW Sidewalls

A incredibly resilient and durable polyethylene sidewall material that absorbs vibrations from firm snow and big impacts. The polyethylene characteristics of the Ultra High Molecular Weight actually diverts impact energy and disperses it rather than cracking like standard sidewalls.

5 Sintered Base

Sintered Base

This premium base material is known in the ski industry as ‘Race Base’ because it is fast AF! Integrated with carbon to further strengthen its gliding properties these 1.4 mm base are tough as can be, to ensure you go fast season after season.

Light and snappy

I ended up putting a set of Shifts on these and I’ve been loving them. The charge in resort and are on the lighter side making touring very doable. Great combo for someone who likes to jump of of things and get out in the back country.

194's:

Coming from the 2018 Devastator in 184 up to the 2023/24 194 length. I'm a big dude, 6'2/xxl. In retrospect I should have skied the longer 194's back in 2018 but was thrown off by the reported weight back then - so was excited to see the longer length available this season. I now have 8 days on my 194's in snow ranging from firm and crusty to 15" of fresh. My takes: 1. For reference, the weight between the earlier model 184's and this year's 194's are similar despite the longer length. Stability is the same in mixed snow remains a strength despite the lower weight. vs. length. Concerned about not "crud crushing" and the end of the day? Don't be. This is still a very stable platform and rolls through variable at speed just fine. 2. Much better firm snow/ice conditions. Common sense states that the longer length would help here, and yes, that's probably part of equation. However, the shape change from prior is noticeable and better in harder and icy conditions with a longer sweet spot vs. the prior design that hooks up nicely into nice and effortless long GS turns. Prior version were a bit squirrely unless on edge, newer version is much more stable when traversing back to lifts on catwalks, ECT and translates into much better firm snow response when at speed. 3. They really come alive in any loose or new snow. Even a groomer with 1" of snow they go from a stable GS-like ski to a quicker confidence inspiring platform. The more fresh you throw at these, the quicker and more stable these become and where they really start to shine. They rip though moguls and trees better than most narrower skis I've been on. 4. Almost the perfect resort ski for a big dude. Per all the reasons above, I wouldn't think twice about the 194's if having trouble deciding to size up or not. They ski at or just short of length and nearly the perfect all mountain platform. Glad I pulled the trigger and went up!

DONT CHANGE A THING 4FRNT

I wont sugarcoat it, I was a little skeptical of this years shape and profile coming from rocker camber rocker ski. When they arrived I left em in the shiney plastic wrap having second thoughts for what I now acknowledge to be a disrespectfully long time (Im so sorry my devy bby’s, you deserved better) I finally decided to give them a shot and HOLY HALIBUT first run i could tell these puppies were special and we’ve been in a loving happy relationship ever since. She pivots on a dime, rips switch like you are skiing forward, carves better then my camber skis, and has the perfect flex for an all mountain weapon you can put your trust in anywhere on the mountain. Without a question the most fun skis I’ve ever ripped, producing the most fun times skiing i’ve ever had !! So for that, thank you 4frnt, please don’t change a thing with them for next year !!!!

Telemark Devastators

I mounted my Devastators with 22 Designs Outlaw X telemark bindings. I am a ski patroller and have been on my Devastators exclusively since they came in. I Love these skis! They work well in powder, groomed runs, on and off piste. The transition from edge to edge is so smooth! The Devastator is my new favorite ski and I cant wait to add more 4FNTS to my quiver.

This is it.

For years I was looking for a replacement of Soul 7, and I finally found it. I got Devastator 186cm last December and tested them on hard-polished groomers in Dolomites, steep off piste in Chamonix early January and recently in trees and steep bumps of Revelstoke. I mount them 2cm behind recommended line (Atomic Shift bindings) for more directional skiing. They are surprisingly good on icy slopes for a 108mm full rocker ski, very nimble and playful in trees. They ski steep bumps with ease, super playfull and predictable, and what I like most is forgiveness if you need to cut the turn short or reduce the speed abruptly. In knee deep powder they behave in par with Soul 7, on any other terrain they are just plain better. The only thing I did not figure out yet is how to fix my Pomoca skins not to slide off the rounded tails when in backcountry. 4FRNT did a great job with Devastator skis, I would give it 10 out of 10.
