We want to give a big welcome to our newest Team rider, Caoimhe Heavey! Caoimhe (pronounced kwee-va, aka Quavo) first made it on our radar after she won Level 1 Productions Superunknown Contest in 2023. Since then, she has been destroying any Terrain Park she comes across with a huge bag of tricks, effortless style, and a vibe that shows how much she loves skiing. We sat down with her for a quick second to chat and see what she is up to.

Hey Quavo! Where did you grow up?

Moving from the UK to Fernie, at a young age, gave me the opportunity to grow up ripping around the local mountain as much as I could. To this day I still need to be dragged off the mountain at the end of the day!

That's rad, when did you first start getting into park skiing?

My love of park skiing started when I joined the local Freestyle club at the age of 8. Competing at local rail jams as a kid kickstarted my rail addiction!

Haha I love that, who were some of your biggest influences in skiing?

Sarah Burke has been my biggest inspiration since I started skiing. She was a pioneer of women’s freestyle skiing, paving the way for girls like myself in the sport. One of her quotes is always in the back of my mind when I’m on the mountain: “I’m a firm believer in getting your heart going and trying something different…I think you should scare yourself everyday”

Khai Krepela was one of my favourite skiers to watch growing up, especially his segments in Level 1’s Pleasure and Romance, along with his 2017 Real Ski.

Tom Wallisch has definitely been a huge influence; his edits with Simon Dumont are still some of my favourites of all-time.

Sarah was such a boss! What are your plans for this season?

Currently, I am competing on the World Cup circuit for Slopestyle and Big Air with a few qualifying events remaining in this Olympic cycle. In between comps, I’ll be filming street in Scandinavia with a rad group of girls! Then it’s back to Whistler for some big mountain, touring, and park skiing days with my mates, before heading down to Utah to film with some of the 4FRNT crew.

Sounds like a busy season! Now that you are skiing for 4FRNT, What does skiing on a brand like ours mean to you?

Skiing on 4FRNT means riding for a company whose values align with my own. The core of ski culture is the skiers, and I’m hyped to be riding for a brand prioritizing that.

Skis that are built to last, and can hold up after hours of hot laps or hiking in the park are essential for me, and the Switches have delivered.

4FRNT has built an awesome community of riders over the last 23 years that I’m stoked to be a part of it. Excited to see what the future with this crew has in store!

We are so hyped to have you! What do you have in the headphones before a comp run?

I like to keep a few playlists on rotation, this season my go to songs have been Social Parasite by Alice in Chains, Domino by Jessie J, and Hanging by a moment by Lifehouse.

When I’m just cruising around, there’s a good chance you’ll catch me listening to some Becky Hill.
