I received a new pair of MSP 99's last week, mounted bindings on the recommended line and headed for the mountain. When I stepped on these it was icy and flat light on the cat track heading over to the bowl, I thought man these feel squirrely, they want to turn, then I started actually making turns and I was shocked at how easy they are to turn! I was just thinking turn and then the skis turned, like on a dime! I skied down the main bowl in cut up, skied out, 3 day old snow, and I felt totally in control and had a big smile on my face. As the day wore on I felt more and more at home on these skis, and was relieved that I had finally found a ski that I was completely and naturally in sync with. These skis hold an edge on hard snow and are completely forgiving at the same time, easy to turn, any turn shape I want it complies! I currently own 10 pairs of skis, and I can honestly say these are the most intuitive skis I have ever been on. I kept talking to folks about Nordica Enforcer 100's, and K2 Mindbender , Volkl M-6 Mantra (everybody seems to love them) (K2's are made in China folks!) And when I looked carefully at the numbers, and read about 500 reviews, finally decided to just go ahead and buy these. One definite factor is the length available as 176cm seems to be my ideal length, as I am 5'7" and about 160 pounds. I had a pair of Mantra M-5's and went with 170cm, as I thought the 177 would be too long, but then always felt like the 170's were too short. So, these MSP99's actually measure straight pull 175cm, so I think perfect for me. I weighed these before I mounted them, and they weigh a bit more than listed (maybe 100 grams more). Anyway, great skis!!! Good work!
