Construction Features

1 4-LOCK Skin Integration

The 4-Lock™ system consists of an inconspicuous 12x9mm hole through the tail of the ski. By inserting the self-locking skin strap through this hole, the skin becomes locked to the ski, eliminating frustrating skin failure. The calculated placement of the hole reduces the skin length by up to 12% and has zero effect on the downhill performance of the ski. This reduced skin length weighs in at less than 240g per skin and folds up impossibly compact.

2 Aspen Maple Core

Aspen Maple Core

Made from the highest quality Aspen and Maple Canada has to offer, these cores are loaded with unwavering energy and pop. These pure hardwood cores don’t just guarantee a smooth damp ride, but also provide long lasting durability and incredible binding retention.

3 Carbon Fiber

Carbon Fiber

When stability and energy are a must and weight is a factor, we add pre stretched carbon fiber stringers to the core. Far superior to the flex and pop of traditional fiberglass, carbon fiber gives you the liveliness you want at a weight that keeps your skis feeling light on your feet. These

4 Neotip

Neotip

After experimenting for years in the Whiteroom, we discovered that the addition of a Neoprene insert in the tip of the ski drastically reduced chatter, increased overall damping, and helped eliminate frustrating tip delamination.

5 Sintered Base

Sintered Base

This premium base material is known in the ski industry as ‘Race Base’ because it is fast AF! Integrated with carbon to further strengthen its gliding properties these 1.4 mm base are tough as can be, to ensure you go fast season after season.

Goat ski

The ren is absolutely epic. First mounted on recommended line and liked but felt I could use more float when’s it’s cold, soft and deep. So I move the mount back and it’s bang on the money. I’m a bigger at 6’5 210 so I think the recommended line is a bit forward for someone my size anyway. That said, an even longer Ren than 191 would be ALL TIME. Small market for us talls but just had to say it. Warranty is money. Had a delam issue and 4Frnt replaced my ski no issues. Love it.

What are you waiting for!

Ok I haven’t skied it yet but the Hoji line, I own and ski on the Raven, Hoji, and now Renegade, ski as promised. 4Frnt skis are what you need and have been waiting for. Is there a line of skis that has won awards like 4Frnt? Nope, so what are you waiting for. I’m not going to get all technical. My Ravens and MSP107 are my go to ski most days. Add a few inches of pow and out come my Hoji’s! Add a foot and those Renegades are going to be killing it!

Ooosh

So fun to ski in any conditions! Stiff and fast but still playful, if you can't do it on renegades, you can't do it. Stoked!

Ski snapped in front of binding

Bought the skis for heli skiing in 2021 but the trip was cancelled. 2022 I managed 2 days of heli skiing on them and then this year I finally got to use them in anger only for one of the renegades to snap in front of the binding. BTW I had never remounted these skis. Because I was in Northern BC I didn’t want to ship my broken skis back to the UK and unfortunately I didn’t take all the photos required to satisfy 4Frnt’s warranty. Customer service have denied my warranty claim straight away. Don’t buy these skis. 4Frnt’s great 3 year warranty is full of clauses. The renegades I bought clearly got faults and the Customer Service is a joke… This was my second pair of 4Frnt skis I bought and now the last!

Hoot hoot!

This is my spirit ski. Skiing is quantifiably more fun on it. Full rocker means it skis shorter than it looks. Wider waist floats you right to the top in powder, but it also provides enough heft to plow through chop and crud between fresh stashes. Reflective rocker means you can lay down an edge and carve when you want to. The build quality is top notch. The Renegade is LOL fun in powder, as expected, but the real surprise is how well it skis everything else. I’m 6’3”, 210lbs and have the 190cm. I intended to use it for free touring (CAST + Pivot 15s), but my experience even on days that aren't knee deep has got me re-evaluating my quiver. The things this ski does well are manyfold…. manyfold more than the stats and dated takes on ski profiles might lead you to believe. I’m not here to preach the gospel of full rocker skis because I like skiing, not preaching, but I also have the Ravens as my primary touring setup so I am willing to testify. They can be driven hard, but they’re happy and floaty fun at a leisurely pace in the trees, flat or on edge. They are very stable in steep terrain and can turn quickly when they need to but are also a blast to charge straight down the fall line, eating up bumps and jumps along the way. This is a transformational kind of a ski — nothing to prove but so much to offer.
