Construction Features

1 4-LOCK Skin Integration

The 4-Lock™ system consists of an inconspicuous 12x9mm hole through the tail of the ski. By inserting the self-locking skin strap through this hole, the skin becomes locked to the ski, eliminating frustrating skin failure. The calculated placement of the hole reduces the skin length by up to 12% and has zero effect on the downhill performance of the ski. This reduced skin length weighs in at less than 240g per skin and folds up impossibly compact.

2 Aspen Maple Core

Made from the highest quality Aspen and Maple Canada has to offer, these cores are loaded with unwavering energy and pop. These pure hardwood cores don’t just guarantee a smooth damp ride, but also provide long lasting durability and incredible binding retention.

3 Carbon Fiber

When stability and energy are a must and weight is a factor, we add pre stretched carbon fiber stringers to the core. Far superior to the flex and pop of traditional fiberglass, carbon fiber gives you the liveliness you want at a weight that keeps your skis feeling light on your feet. These

4 Neotip

After experimenting for years in the Whiteroom, we discovered that the addition of a Neoprene insert in the tip of the ski drastically reduced chatter, increased overall damping, and helped eliminate frustrating tip delamination.

5 Sintered Base

This premium base material is known in the ski industry as ‘Race Base’ because it is fast AF! Integrated with carbon to further strengthen its gliding properties these 1.4 mm base are tough as can be, to ensure you go fast season after season.

4frnt Skis & Service - Top Notch on Both

Noah and crew are passionate about skiing and the products they sell. When buying a 4frnt, it’s more than just an amazing ski, as it also come with exceptional customer service, pre and post sale. My set of 2023 Hojis were not holding up well and the crew worked with me to facilitate a warranty replacement. Honestly, I don’t know why I even had a moment of dread about submitting the request, as they are handling it efficiently and without any problem. 4frnt fan for life and excited to get my replacements.

Great ski!

Amazing ski that floats effortlessly through the soft stuff even for me at 210 pounds. Mounted at the recommended point with 28.5 boots which looked pretty progressive, but once I got it on the snow it made sense. Very balanced and easy to throw sideways or make quick adjustments making it great for trees and steep terrain. This year’s graphics are awesome and have received comments from folks on the hill every time I’ve been out.

Nice Upgrade

Using the Hoji as a touring ski. Have only used it for 2 tours but very good first impressions. Had been skiing the DPS Pagoda 112 for the past 3 seasons. The Hoji is very balanced, easy to kick turn and floats in powder effortlessly. It also feels very stable and easy to carve a variety of turn shapes. I would highly recommend.

other skis fear it

Skis are something truly unique, super intuitive and yet they seemingly have no redline. Chargy and playful. Lots of qualities I though were mutually exclusive all blended into one. 4lock system is really awesome too, works great and keeps the weight reasonable.

Bonkers

I started skiing through skimo as a trail runner and took the plunge to buy real skis and I am fricken hyped. I was hesitant on the weight, but I'm now realizing the weight to performance ratio is on point. In Japan now and I'm loving everything single thing about these Hojis. They are super bouncy and basically feel like they are teaching me how to actually ski. The skin system is beyond my expectation. I stay clipped in and ripping them is a breeze. The shorter tail helps keep the ski from slipping on off camber stuff. The climb 2.0 pomoca skins have always been a favorite and I am really enjoying how small they fold and go into my jacket. The 2.0 does require a little more skinning technique on steeper terrain, but that's a trade off I want. I was hesitant on the rocker, but it feels mild and they skate ski + carve decently well on a groomer. This is going to turn into my daily ski for sure back in Colorado.
