Updated Sizing for the RENEGADE: Prototyped and Approved by Team Riders Kelly Mackenzie and Corinne Prevot

New for the 2024 winter, we're excited to introduce unisex sizing updates across the entire HOJI COLLECTION. This allows skiers to choose the best length based on their ski level and terrain choice from our legendary best-selling powder/touring collection. Team Riders Corinne Prevot and Kelly Mackenzie played a leading role in bringing forward sizing updates to the Renegade - here's 5 questions on the process:

Question 1: What was the need in your quiver that the new 177cm RENEGADE filled?

Corinne Prevot: A proper pow ski at the perfect 177cm length! The Renegade is a wide width ski at 122mm underfoot. Last winter i mounted a pair with some ATK touring bindings and the 4-LOCK Skin System to head to Japan, it's hands down the BEST powder/touring set-up i've ever had.

Kelly Mackenzie: I’ve skied the HOJI ski for a long time in the 177cm length, which I love, but it was my fattest powder ski available to me at 112mm underfoot. The 177cm Renegade, at a 122mm underfoot width is the perfect addition for deeper powder days where I wanted more width to ride powder and a wider platform to stomp on!

Question 2: What are your favorite qualities of the new 177cm Renegade?

Corinne: So Stompy! Playful. Floaty. Nimble, yet stable enough to get through the crud. Like I said in my previous answer, with the 4-LOCK Skin System built-in it's also great for going deeper to find untouched powder.

Kelly: It skis a lot like the Hoji and the Raven- they go fast when you want to charge, but are also nimble enough to slash a quick turn anywhere. I also love how well the ski handles landings and variable snow; I can trust the ski (especially the tails!) to help me ride out of/ through anything.

Question 3: Who would you encourage to ski the 177cm Renegade?

Kelly: Anyone who wants the wider ski, but doesn't want/need the 184cm length. I think it’s a great addition for those who might have a slighter frame or shorter stature.

Corinne: If you’re a petit build who wants a charging powder ski that can slash, stomp, and float in deep snow, then you’ll want to ski the Renegade. To me it is a timeless addition to the quiver so you can have the most fun on those fateful pow days.

Question 4: Where and what type of terrain does the 177cm Renegade excel most?

Kelly: As we like to say here at 4FRNT: "Always Bring Your Renegades!" They are so fun and versatile, but I found the ski to perform best in the steeper, open terrain.

Corinne: You can mount the Renegade with a touring binding or an alpine bindings. I like to travel everywhere with the touring bindings on the Renegade 4-LOCK, especially places like Jackson, British Columbia, Alaska, and Japan.

Question 5: Who are you and what type of skiing do you love most?

Corinne Prevot (CP): I’m a 3rd Generation Vermont Skier, born on ice, trained in gates, and today you can find me seeking progression and powder acorss the west coast and all over the world. I’m currently on a quest to find the perfect, ever-fleeting pow turn and have come to find a deep love for this pursuit.

Kelly Mackenzie (KM): l love to ski powder, hit cliffs and go fast! I was born and raised in Teton Valley, calling Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee my home mountains.
